Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

Awesome summary Ad!
perhaps what is truly astounding is that there are a whole bunch of identical women's teams out there:
My women's team has been 'copied' smile by TE, Dtrain, as well as umptastic from the alpha league ... I suppose this is what I get for publishing my thoughts before the picks close... wink

My tracking spreadsheet, including Tono, is here
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ … sp=sharing

the earliest (and highly reliable!) projections show TE, Ad, Arvis, and Dtrain out in front, depending on the projection...

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

LOL, ten people picked Vesely as Unseeded.  Before the Ferrer withdrawal?  Zero. tongue

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

Adunar what does the format 5-3-1 mean and thanks for the updates!

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

Supposed to be 5-2-1 or 4-3-1, Dtrain.  He explains it in the post.

8 players per team, the first number is the amount of players seeded 1-16, the second number is players seeded 17-32, and the last number is for unseeded.  The standard/traditional format for the game is 5-2-1.

Arnaud, I have Safarova, not Sharapova.

I must correct you there, I choose him before I knew about the Ferrer injury smile

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

Well well well, that's a surprise.  Could have been a major coup for you if Ferrer decided to try and play.

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

Robredo? Really? Well Wimbo and I were thinking the same thing - not clearly. wink

I know, now my wild an crazy pick look like an ordinary boring common-sense pick sad

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

It must have been a long time ago Robredo went out in 1st round of a slam?

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

If you don't count his retirement in Australian this yesr, then his last first round Slam loss was 2013 Australian, when he was coming back from injury.

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

Marriage is overrated.  It almost makes people with stuff enviable of people without.

Re: 2015 Wimbledon Yoda Cup

I am in my mid-fifties and never been married.  I think I lead a pretty serene life.  The grass is never greener but I am happy with my grass.

A man, in his mid 50s, unmarried, and straight?  You just may be the smartest guy around here.

Not sure smart is the right word....but, after I realized you will not literally die if you don't get laid, long term stuff just seems like too much work.  TMI but I did get cut at 40 realizing that kids were not my program.  if you tell a girl that in her mid-30's to mid-40's, you are considered one and done....which I am totally ok with.  hahahahah

I realized at a much younger age that marriage is not a means for getting laid, it's the end of it.

Anyway, the drive to have kids is biology, the primitive side of humans, which served a purpose in the past (to pass your property/money down to, or have cheap labor if you were a farmer), but is now obsolete, since we don't really own the stuff that we do own.
