Very interesting Spotec... good insights!
I think Nadal has an excellent shot at RG as well... but we will have to see how he is playing a few weeks beforehand...
Would be great to see Fed win Wimbledon.
Who do you think will win Australian Open?

Aussie Open:

1. Novak
2. Roger
3. Nick
4. Rafa, Andy or Stan

Depends on the draw but I think Kyrgios can go really deep this year....he has the game and the attitude...but he is always close of being too arrogant...and that may stop him.

finally my special point of view of the german boys....

- i hope that Alex Zverev will continue his good way and maybe he can win a 250 or even in his hometown Hamburg....that would be awesome....he may can Germany lead to former good old times smile

- Kohlschreiber will play solid, but he will never ever win a bigger title...sadly

- Tommy: will he ever play again?....he had the game to win a slam but his shoulder was always the big problem...I remember all the quarter- and semifinals he reached in Melbourne, Paris, Wimbledon and NY....but he always did not make the final step...its such a pitty.

- the rest will not cause any upsets....maybe Petzschner is coming back and will win another Slam in doubles....this could be possible

My thoughts regarding the young guns:

- Kyrgios has the potential to secure a big win...Masters or even a Slam...especially this year in Melbourne. But he has to concentrate on tennis and not all the other things...like some darlings of the WTA Tour smile

- Coric and Thiem may win some 250s or 500s...but will not go deeper than quarters of a slam

- Kokkinakis, Edmund, Berankis and Dzumhur can record some surprising wins but it will be difficult for them to secure a first title

My thoughts to the other guys.....or best of the rest.

- Stan the man is a miracle...he can win another slam and even in Rio but at the same time he can lose in the early rounds...but at the end I think it will be a good year for him
- Berdych, Ferrer, Gasquet, Monfils, Anderson and Raonic will have a normal year....wins of some 250s and 500s....thats it.
- Tsonga, Cilic, Dimitrov and Nishikori have the potential to cause some more damage...but they are not consistent enough to win a slam this year..maybe they can win a 1000 Event

Here are my thoughts regarding the big 4 of ATP:

- Djokovic will win 2 or 3 Slams, but not 4 Slams or even the golden Slam
- there will be at least one or two bad days, where someone will beat Nole in the big tournaments
- we saw it last year with Serena, that the Grand Slam in todays Tennis is nearly impossible

- Nadal will be better than the last 2 years and will win the French Open and / or Olympic Games

- Federer will may win one Slam, biggest chance in Wimbledon

- Murray will reach at least one final, but no win.

to be continued with the young and other guys of ATP later.

@Spotec
we're encouraging you to reach 50 posts before the Aus Open so that you can be part of our year long competition here on GSFT to amass the most GSFT points... but our only requirement for joining is everyone must make at least 50 posts...

Nice to see, that you are encouraging me, although it is a long way to go.

The thing is, I dont want to bore you and post bullshit only. smile

But at the end, I will make it....hopefully without bullshit...

Hey Spotec check out the forum thread 2016 Predictions... I'd like to hear what you have to say.

Hey, yeah. I will do that tomorrorw and will tell you about my thoughts of 2016....hopefully with some german surprises. smile

Maybe its an good idea to add the information for the teams how many players are left in any tournament, if possible smile

For me e.g.:

ATP

Brisbane: 1 player left
Chennai: 3 players left
Doha: 1 player left

WTA

Brisbane: 0 players left
Auckland: 0 players left
Shenzhen: 0 players left

Yes, 0 player left in WTA tournaments sad

The new standings Team / Brackets (ATP and WTA) are outstanding.

Congrats and thx to the guys doing this job....thumbs up!!!

I like to recommend:

http://www.tenniscomp.com/fantasy/

At the beginning of the year (deadline 5. January 2016) you choose 1 player of 11 groups.

The position of each player in each group will be summed up.

The lucky winner is the player with the lowest number of points by the end of the year.

You pay £10 via paypal and the total prize pot will be shared amongst all players finishing in the top ten percent.

Nice game, less effort and nice jackpot.

Yes spotec, the picks were closed since it was the same deadline as the bracket. Will check with Tom if we can still enter your picks or not.

What do you guys think?

Thank you...If not, no problem.

Thank you for the warm welcome...

Started to make the team picks. But where is Brisbane WTA? Already closed???? ...and having the same datelines like brackets?

Only in this case I will publish my 4 pics here....hoping you still add them: otherwise bad luck.

Stosur, Mladenovic, Cibulkova, Bencic

Thank you
