#### Topic: Women's Points - French Open 2015

The total points for my women's team should be 112 points, not 96 points. Since the beginning of the tournament, the score has been one win (16 points) behind.

I think you need to rethink the math.

(7x16) -16 = 96

Oh well!!!

But, wouldn't it be (8x16) - 16 since 7 of 8 matches were won? The above calculation makes it appear as if only 6 of 7 matches were won.

I think it's time to go back to 5th grade math class. You have 7 wins at +16 points each, and one loss at -16. This is not hard to figure out. Ask a friend or relative for help if it still does not make sense.

A first round loss is not a zero. It's -16. You actually LOSE 16 points. So, if you're competing against someone who has NO losses in the first round, you lose 16, they gain 16, therefore they have netted 32 points on you. It's how this game works. Makes it more interesting, more heartbreaking, and more satisfying.

Thank you! I appreciate that.

I do not appreciate that, but I did learn something. PLUS, Ms. Abbey said to chill; it is not about me.
