Re: Yoda Cup - 2015 Australian Open

It only took you and hour and a half to do all that?

Man, I really thought that every single Yoda Cup member might have Karlovic.  Honestly, I feel like those with Kyrgios on their team should be insanely grateful not to have a -16 from him.
Then again, I have Mannarino, so....

These are the guys who have a realistic shot at winning Yoda: CC, Mike, Charles, Tommy_Dearest, Tono, BHP, Snolly, Don, TE.  Why?  Because they're the only ones with Nadal on their team.

EIGHTEEN people picked Kvitova!?  DANG IT DANG IT DANG IT!  Now I REALLY can't root for her and she is one of my favorite players! sad sad sad sad sad sad sad

I am hereby guaranteeing that Sharapova will lose to Bouchard in the quarters: 1) It's what Sharapova does in Australia, 2) Bouchard will be in world-beating form by then, 3) I have Sharapova to win it all and no Bouchard on my team.

Between Bouchard and Nadal, I'd say our man Don Denman is the favorite to win Australia in Yoda Cup.

LOL, the three most popular picks in the Women's 2nd-tier are all on my team; Williams, Pliskova, and Muguruza.  I also have the most popular Unseeded woman; Keys.  I wonder what that means?

OZ's Cornet pick is interesting.  I briefly considered taking her because of the section she's in but ultimately deemed her too unreliable.  Could that come back to haunt me?

Tono picked Radwanska as a finalist, eh?  Interesting...

Thanks Ad, good as always mate, even if there is the odd mistake due to lack of caffeine. wink

@Arvis.....I will explain my Aggie finalist pick to ya....
In my first team draft I had Serena beating Maria in the final like the majority....but I promised myself I wouldn't pick Serena to win in Melbourne this time, so because I think Maria will make the final I could hardly pick Maria to beat Serena if those two meet (we all know Masha has a mental block against Williams), therefore I was on the lookout for a finalist other than Serena this year, Kvitova and Aggie stood out the most for me in the top half of the draw and I already had Venus on my team so that eventuality was covered too, Woz has a tough early draw and a question mark on her wrist so I didn't wanna risk her, Petra seemed the more obvious choice to me but Melbourne hasn't been a happy hunting ground for her and I also have a sneaky "Tono" feeling that the new Radwanska/Navratilova partnership might bear fruit straight away in Melbourne, well I'm hoping it will anyway, my only concern is Radwanska's vulnerable second serve, hopefully Martina will tell her to get plenty of first serves in....GO AGARATILOVA!! wink

Re: Yoda Cup - 2015 Australian Open

I guess the Sharapova loss doesn't hurt TOO badly, but now this puts me even more in the position of needing Serena to go out. And when I am in that position, she always wins the tournament.

Re: Yoda Cup - 2015 Australian Open

I guess Sharapova didn't lose. tongue

Re: Yoda Cup - 2015 Australian Open

If Wawa beats Novak, I'll finish in a decent spot here, but I don't see it happening this time.

Re: Yoda Cup - 2015 Australian Open

OK, so Raonic didn't work out so well.

Don't these people realize there's a competition going on - fantasy counts, doesn't it??

Re: Yoda Cup - 2015 Australian Open

Raonic was bound to make it to the quarters and give 64 points. He did just that. But Novak has a game that Raonic cannot beat. He can beat anyone else, but not him...
