Can we please do something about the flood of spam accounts the forums are getting? I have reported user "gamegold" or something 5 or 6 times for spam and he/she/it is still around. And now we have more spambots. Please please ban these accounts as soon as possible.

How are you reporting users for spam? Usually it's best to message me the usernames of the spammers and then I can delete their accounts.
I'm clicking "Report" at the bottom right of each post, next to "Quote" and in the box typing "spam" as the reason I'm Reporting. Does that function not work?
I can start posting the names in this thread, if you like. But it's also optimal to erase the spam threads as well as delete the accounts, which is why I was using the "Report" function.

It looks like you are having an impact on the spammers, as I can't find any posts from "gamegold". I don't get any notifications when you click Report, but I'm glad it's working.
The forum still thinks I am posting when I use "Report" so I get an error if I don't wait 60 seconds between Reporting, which is discouraging.
If you just take a quick look at the different subforums, the spam threads are obvious, so it should only take you a minute or two to delete the threads and the accounts that started them.

Isn't there a way to prevent the spambots to create accounts in the first place?
Charles, there are also about 3 billion new spam threads in the "Australian Open" subforum created by those users that hundredtennisstats just posted above.

We do have some anti-spam measures in place, but I'll make a note to make them stronger when we do the site update.
