Can Novak Finally Claim The Career Grand Slam?

With the 2015 French Open now well underway the big question still on the lips of most tennis fans is whether or not the world No.1 Novak Djokovic can finally claim the elusive career Grand Slam at Roland Garros in the next ten days, Djokovic has made a solid start to his quest for glory in Paris and he should comfortably dispatch his next opponent, Thanasi Kokkanakis in the third round, but the much anticipated quarter-final showdown between Novak and the nine-time French Open champ Rafael Nadal is eagerly awaited by all, it would certainly be a deflating feeling for the entire tournament organisers, and fans in general, if these two giants of the game don’t get to square off in the last eight.

Djokovic is the current Wimbledon and Australian Open champion and has a fantastic 35-2 record in 2015, his only losses (Karlovic@Doha, Federer@Dubai) this season have come early in the year and the 8-time Grand Slam champion hasn’t been toppled since his runner-up finish in Dubai at the end of February, but he must now dethrone Nadal, the greatest clay court player of all time, in the quarter-finals of the French Open before he even considers claiming the one elusive major title to thus far elude him, the 28 year old Serb is in the form of his life, he is now a husband and father and life seems like it couldn’t get much better for Nole, however the Serb will be well aware of how quickly things can change in the  more »
